Even a that's more like it 41 points from Kobe Byant couldn't keep up pace with Indiana last night as the Indeanapolis team won 95-92. Indiana's break out player, Roy Hibbert had a double, double with a Kobe Jersey number in points and a Shannon in rebounds. Kobe missed two three pointer attempts in the final seconds like it was 1997 in Utah but it was Indiana that overcame the Lakers last night with Darren Collison adding 14 points and Danny Granger adding 18. After the Pacers road win at Staples Granger added, "To come into L.A. and beat the world champions on their home court is a huge win for us." This win is huge and a first for the Pacers who have never managed to keep up with the Lakers and beat them at Staples until now. Even when the two teams met in the competitive 2000 NBA Finals no purple and gold blood was drew until the Lakers visited Conseico. Laker players still put up valiant numbers in this tightly fought contest, Pau Gasol had 13 points and 12 rebounds while Odom had 15 and 11. Still however according to the box score and Phil Jackson the Lakers weren't with it, "We played a lethargic game" the coach said postgame. Two down in as many games, it's time to wake up.
