As the Lakers headed to Texas they faced up against a Maverick team that has had troubles as of late. Dallas' record against the Lakers has always been a little shaky as well, but in hosting the Lake Show, Jason Kidd and his jittery knees carried his team to victory. He had a season-high 21 points and 10 assists, as he dropped both dimes and buckets on L.A. Shawn Marion and Jason Terry Also lifted Dallas off the bench with 22 points a piece as the Mavs took care of the visitors and their own 6 game losing streak in their saloon. Los Angeles have now lost three of their last four games as Pau Gasol's game high of 23 was not enough in the old west. Even Kobe matching Kidd with 21 and 10 of his own and Lamar Odom's impressive 20 and 10, double, double night could not supply the Lakers with the goods to overcome a great Maverick run. Every player counted this night as Jason Terry described it perfectly, "Tonight we came into this game with all 12 guys suited up and ready to play. Guys got after it on both ends of the floor and played hard". It's time for the rest of the Lakers bench players to warm up. TIM DAVID HARVEY.
